Accessibility Policy Statement for 50 Plusses
We want everyone who visits the 50 Plusses website to feel welcome and find the experience rewarding, going above and beyond the The Public Sector Bodies Accessibility Regulations 2018.
What are we doing?
To help us make the 50 Plusses website a positive place for everyone, we’ve been using the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible for people with disabilities, and user friendly for everyone.
We’re working hard to achieve accessibility, but we realize there are some areas that still need improving. The following information explains what we’re doing to make that happen.
- 1.2.2 Have you provided captions for all prerecorded audio content? If we have prerecorded audio content, we will provide captions.
- 1.2.3 Have you provided an audio description or media alternative for video content? If we add audio, we will provide an audio description.
- 1.4.2 Is it possible to pause or stop automatically playing audio? If we add audio, we will make it possible to pause or stop automatically playing audio.
- 2.2.1 Can any time limits on content be turned off, adjusted, extended or last longer than 20 hours? We don’t have time limits on content.
- 2.4.1 Is a mechanism for bypassing blocks of content available? We are looking into this.
